Raise money to help us buy a defibrillator and provide water safety training for all our community

The Bluetits is a social swim community all about having fun and finding friendship.
There are over 150,000 Bluetits across the world and we want to make sure that whilst you are having fun you are staying safe.
This year we are launching our water safety project, creating our own course that will teach you how to risk assess your own swim.
We also want to invest in a portable defibrillator for our water safety team to use at events.

Meet the team

Eva

I’ve always loved swimming and any sea-swimming in particular always brings back the most amazing and happy memories of my dad and of growing up as proper water baby with my brother and sister.
I’m part of this relay team because I still always want to feel that I’ve made him proud and because I will gain lifelong bragging rights over my siblings ( who are both far better swimmers than me)!

Jackie

I'm Jackie and I am so excited about doing a real challenge. I have always wanted to do something but never really thought I could.
I've had a few health problems which have stopped me doing things in the past but I am training hard and learning to push myself further. I cannot wait to cross the channel with these awesome girls!

Jemeima

I’m Jemeima, I’m doing this because I couldn’t say no to being a part this inspirational team of amazing humans.
It gets me out of my comfort zone and there’s no one I’d rather do that with than this team!

Jess

I am Jess, and I am doing this because I wanted to challenge myself to do something that seemed impossible two years ago.
Now, with the teams support and awesome coaching, the English Channel is in sight.

Laura

I’m doing this because I wanted a reason to keep swimming. I wanted to see what it would be like to be part of a team. I also thought it was about time I challenged myself.
I was feeling a bit lost and this gave me something to look forward to and feel positive about.

Makala

I'm doing the relay because I wanted to be part of a team of amazing people who are facing, and overcoming so many challenges.
It has been and will be the most amazing journey. There is something quite special about seeing a team grow together.

Sian

Swimming the channel was never on my radar until I received swim coaching from our local coach’s Colin and Makala. As a keen swimmer, I have always enjoyed the sport, but now, with newfound confidence, I believe I am a skilled swimmer ready for the exciting challenge ahead.
I firmly believe that with the right team supporting us, we can all surpass our perceived limitations.

The Coach

Colin is one of our Bluetit approved swim coaches. He runs his own swim coaching sessions in the Ceredigion area and volunteered to coach our very first Bluetit Relay Team
